5 posts every local business should rotate

The short answer

If you never know what to post, rotate five types: something behind the scenes, a real customer result, a post where people meet you, an answer to a question you get every day, and a clear post on how to book. Each one does a different job. Together they turn followers into customers.

1. Show what happens behind the scenes

Setup, prep, the messy middle of a job. It doesn't need to be pretty. People trust what they can see, and a quick look behind the counter makes your business feel real before they ever walk in.

Examples: a salon mixing color, a kitchen prepping before open, a contractor on day one of a remodel.

2. Post a real customer result

A before and after, a finished job, a happy review. Proof beats promises. When someone sees a result they want, they picture themselves getting it.

Always ask the customer first, and keep their name private unless they say it's OK.

3. Let people meet you

Your face, your story, your why. People buy from people they feel like they know. Once a week, get on camera for 15 seconds: why you started, what you love about the work, or what a normal day looks like.

4. Answer the question you get every day

"How long does it take?" "Do you take walk-ins?" "Will it hurt?" Every question you answer at the front desk is a post. Answer it once on camera and it keeps answering for you.

5. Tell people exactly how to book

One clear next step: a link, a phone number, or a word to DM. Don't make people hunt for it. A post that simply shows how easy booking is brings in the people who were already almost ready.

How to use this

Pick 3 days a week to post. Go through the five types in order, then start over. In a month you'll have posted each type at least twice, and you'll see which ones bring in calls and messages. Do more of those.
